Pallets are placed on rollers that slope toward the pick
face. The advantage of being gravity fed means that pick faces are automatically replenished. An Automatic Braking System controls pallet speed ensuring pallets are
maintained end to end.
This kind of racking is normally serviced by forklift and reach trucks. Fork trucks never enter the rack.
Picking and Replenishment sides are separate. Pallets
are fed in from one side, and retrieved from the opposite side eliminating double handling from the receiving area. Speed of throughput combined with automatic stock
rotation is the major advantage of this system.
This system is First In, First Out (FIFO) guaranteed as
it ensures automatic stock rotation.Stored goods with expiration dates or product batches are easier to supervise. Pallet Flow Through can be used as buffer storage in shipping areas, production, goods reception and dispatch.
Very high density storage achieved especially when there are few SKU’s and high number of pallets. There can be
up to 12 pallets in each bay. Futher advantages of this storage system are in the optimal surface and volume use as well as the possibility for integration into automated material flow.
