Craig's Darwin Diary
1 July 2007
As you may have seen, we didn't have the best start to the V8 Supercar season, but we were able to turn things around recently, culminating in the round win at Darwin.
In the first few rounds, things weren't necessarily going our way, but all along we knew that we were capable of getting up the front and taking wins.
We knew that if we kept working hard, things would start going our way. So that's what we did. Throughout the entire team, we all kept putting in 110%.
When things didn't work, we learnt from them and just kept working hard on finding what did work.
Through that we have been making some really good progress and getting closer and closer to strong results.
Then at Darwin it all paid off and we had an awesome weekend. Outracing the field, getting a couple of race wins and then the round win, it couldn't have been much better.
But now that we've got those wins, and some good momentum, we can't afford to take it easy. In motor racing as soon as you let your guard down or become complacent you'll be challenged and lose important ground.
And once you get a win, you become even hungrier for more!
The next round at Queensland Raceway is just around the corner, so we've been flat-out making sure we're as well-prepared for that as we can be.
It never ends!
