The latest iteration of filing and storage systems introduces a groundbreaking approach to efficiency and design. With a remarkable increase in storage capacity, now boasting up to 78% more space, the system’s width has expanded from 2700mm to 4800mm. Enhancements include a modern and unique stylised hand-wheel with integrated spinner handle, providing safer and easier operation.

Our solution is the lightest mechanically assisted mobile storage system on the market, it prioritises minimising floor loads, a crucial factor in commercial office buildings. The enhanced system width, now spanning four shelving bays, marks a significant advancement, a feat previously only attainable with fixed-track systems. This innovative approach not only addresses practical considerations but also sets a new standard in adaptability and space optimization within office environments.

The Mekdrive 3 Compactus® delivers a market leading system width, which redefines non fixed-track Compactus® capability. It does not require fixing into the floor, eliminating any permanent damage and allowing for cost effective relocation and reconfiguration of the system.
Available in up to four shelving bays in widths with a maximum widths of 4800mm, offering a total block load capacity (limit) of 6,000kg, over five tracks.
The Mekdrive 3 has an optional longer pivoting ramp allowing the tracks to be levelled to a height of 100mm, catering for wider system widths and can be installed over varying floor contours.
The clip-on track ramps further reduce trip hazards increasing safety and allows for the movement of trolleys and wheelchairs between the shelving bays.
There are a variety of locking options available providing additional security to stored documents.
The Mekdrive3 track chain has a zinc plated finish providing a low maintenance solution with easy tensioning that requires no lubrication, keeping a clean look.
The low profile track design, effectively lowers the overall height of the system to keep all storage levels within easy reach.
The Mekdrive 3 Compactus® has multiple track configurations for better distribution of floor loads. The unique track anti-tilt mechanism secures all shelving, further enhancing operator safety. It has a narrower track at 105mm, which offers less protrusion outside the shelving width.
The Mekdrive 3 hand-wheel can be retro-fitted to Mekdrive 1 and 2 systems with a simple modification.

Enjoy maximum storage efficiency at your fingertips, thanks to the smart inbuilt technology which allows you to select a drive ratio to suit the load. With market leading safety features and the ability to upgrade to a full powered operation, Mech Assist is a smart choice.

The Mech Assist carriages can be designed to take shelving, racking, cabinets, even non Dexion products can be fitted to the Mech Assist carriages (ideal for re-use of existing shelving components).
Available in standard lengths up to 13.7m. Greater carriage lengths are possible, depending on system load factors.
Maximum load carrying capacity of 1,500 kg per linear metre.
Standard carriages up to 1200mm depth (deeper carriages can be designed on request).
The unique in-track anti-tilt safety mechanism is superior to conventional overhead mechanisms and eliminates obtrusive overhead bars. Anti-tilt devices are engineered to comply with all seismic requirements, providing an extra measure of system stability and safety – even in areas prone to earthquakes.
To assure the smoothest possible operation, an integrated chain tensioner can be easily adjusted to fine tune the carriage drive. This operation only takes a few seconds as a minor service adjustment without disassembly of the system.
Select from three drive ratios. By appropriately matching the system drive ratio to the load, operation becomes smooth and effortless. Very little force or exertion is needed to open an aisle.
By adjusting track size, spacing and orientation, floor loads can be optimally distributed at practical bearing points.
All tracks are fully supported and grouted to evenly distribute system weight.
Carriage wheels and tracks are machine tooled for precision and tolerance to ensure maximum strength and system life.
Welded-steel carriage sections enhance the Compactus® alignment and reduce binding, racking and misalignment of carriage and shelving.
The three spoked handle is moulded from a composite of 33% fiberglass and nylon will not bend or rust.
Laminate end panels as provided as standard and can be selected from a range of colours.
